A day with Jazzy B....Music, Men & Flash Cars.....

My day spent filming Jazzy B's new music video was very different to my average day.  One of the longest days I have ever worked yet one of the most interesting.

After driving from Birmingham to Swindon in the early hours of the morning to do a wedding I then drove to Suffolk ready to shoot Jazzys new video with the crew from Ballistic Productions.

When I arrived at the RAF airfield I noticed lots of men and lots of flash cars, I then realised I was the only female on set, who was I going to have girlie chats with!

Whilst Jazzy was off filming his car speeding shots I was having my own fun with the guys and their amazing cars.  Mr Peter Singh, property tycoon millionaire, allowed me to sit in and test drive his Rolls Royce Phantom, it really was the smoothest drive ever. I also had an exciting test drive on a Can-am Spider, wow they are fast!

After a morning spent test driving cars & joining in male conversations it was my time to make the guys look beautiful and be ready on set.  Jazzy B is such a good performer and is really great on camera.

Also featuring in the video was dance group Gabhru Panjab De , a group of really lovely talented guys, their dance routine was brilliant!

After working for about 25 hours straight it was time to head home, what a day! Was such a pleasure being part of the making of his video, I really hope to work with him again.

My best friends wedding....

Being a Makeup Artist means I get to meet a lot of brides and spend the morning with them getting them ready for the most important day of their life.  I feel so lucky, I love what I do and I always leave the bride feeling slightly emotional and excited for her new life ahead with her new husband.

This wedding was a whole different story as the two people getting married are very close friends of mine, especially the bride who I have known since she was 16!  I'm so glad that I got to be part of this very special day.

The wedding was held at the beautiful Grafton Manor in Bromsgrove Bham......

It has such beautiful surroundings, perfect for wedding pictures.

I joined the bride, her bridesmaids, her mother and auntie for breakfast in the dining room of the beautiful building that had been booked out just for them.

Then it was down to business, I had 3 bridesmaids and the bride to get ready.  A room full of girls together wearing printed t shirts with the champers flowing..........

The bride was having 2 different looks for her a big day with 2 different dresses, one for the registry civil ceremony and one for the chapel ceremony.

As I had finished getting her ready for the civil ceremony I could see the nerves kicking in, I was nervous myself! My friend, the youngest from our circle of friends, was about to get married!  I followed her to the room, still wearing jeans and jumper with no hair and makeup done, just so I could peer around the corner to watch her walk up to her future husband and sign the registers that would seal their marriage.

The first look was more natural with her hair down and a beautiful flowy dress..........

The 2nd look for the Chapel ceremony was a more fitted style dress with a bridal up-do with a vintage twist.  She wore a birdcage veil (yes I was slightly worried by the name when she told me) rather than the traditional veil, was gorgeous!......

The service was beautiful with a good choice of hymns that I actually knew! Phew!

After all the formalities were done it was time to eat and party.  The room was set out with gorgeous table settings chosen by the bride herself.  I think I may have use for her if the day comes that I get married! haha.

I thought I would just share a few of my favourite pictures, I love how the photographer captured a lot of the fun moments from the day ..........

So after an amazing day and night, my 2 friends were now officially husband and wife. Now I am going to sit back and wait for babies!

I love you both and hope you're happy together forever. xxxxxxx

Boudoir photoshoot

Had a great day with a great team today. I have had the pleasure of working with the very talented photographer Gary Price & stylist Jane Kennedy a few times before and am always really pleased with the outcome.  The model Katherine Brown got a flight from Turkey for this shoot as she loves Gary's work, talk about dedication!
Jane kindly let us shoot in her absolutely beautiful home, lots of character with stunning decor, another of Janes many talents, interior design.
Here's a preview from the shoot, love the lighting and atmosphere, and look how long Katherine's legs are! wow!
